Chicago, IL – October, 2007: Exhibit Opening and Symposium October 8 at the Field Museum

PLEASE JOIN US:
The DARFUR/DARFUR projections are running each evening through October 12th at the north side of the Field Museum from 7:00 – 10:00 PM.

Additionally, they can be seen inside the museum during the day.

Parking is free at night along the metered spaces adjacent to the Shedd Aquarium.

We hope you will come out for this free exhibition.

Beginning on October 7, 2007 the DARFUR/DARFUR multi-media projections will be hosted at a number of Chicago area locations including the Field Museum, the DuSable Museum, and multiple community, arts, and faith based congregations. A city-center focus will be a series of outdoor evening projections at the north facade of the Field Museum. Please go to www.fieldmuseum.org for more information for screening dates and times.

On October 8, 2007, the Chicago community is invited to DARFUR: Imagery and Reality, a symposium which will explore traditions of culture and family alongside the current humanitarian crisis in the western Sudan region. A musical performance by the Chicago Children’s Choir will open the evening.
